Emily Irene VanCamp, who originally wanted to be a professional dancer, grew attracted to acting after visiting her sister Katie on The Ladies Room set. As she took acting classes and directing, she was also offered the roles of guest stars on TV programs. A few of the series she was a part of, among others included: Are You Scared of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp had a big success in his career when being cast on Glory Days, the WB mystery horror show. Although the show received positive reviews, the series' low ratings ultimately led to it having to be canceled after only nine episodes. However, she was successful to secure a new role Amy Abbott on Everwood. The role resulted in her being nominated for an Young Artist Award nominee and for four Teen Choice Awards.
